Automated Document Processing System
An internal portal for a childcare regulatory government agency
Front End Development
The application portal and user interface front end were built utilizing the Angular Framework.
Project Goals
The project had several objectives: to centralize and automate the document processing flow for several departments involved in childcare regulation; to get rid of numerous excel spreadsheets with duplicate and invalid information; to implement real-time data exchange between all parties involved
Project Outcome
We built the platform to automate the docs flow and store all the information in one place. The app contains all the needed info (names, addresses, licenses, etc.) so that the ministry has everything on record. The most important information is about the contracts that give the people/venues the right to work with children. These data are also Ministry-managed and controlled. The app helps to schedule visits of ministry representatives to the venue, attach the visit results, share them with the venue representatives, and make the decisions to approve or cancel the contracts.
Automated Functional Testing
Cucumber and Behat were used to create a fully automated suite of functional tests that could be run in the background whenever a new feature was implemented to make sure the application is stable and to minimize manual QA effort
Back End Development
The back end was created utilizing the PHP Laravel Framework, in a serverless environment.

Popular European service Luxtrust was integrated for digital identity and security purposes
Custom Search Engine
Fully custom database of venues, contracts, and all associated documents with flexible search capabilities to account for specific needs of the industry
Online Inspection Planning
Online tool for setting up inspection process of childcare organizations. Allows to assign dates, store docs and files, grant approval or disapproval for childare activities
Luxtrust Integration
Luxtrust is a digital identity solution widely used by the Luxembourg government and banking industry for systems containing highly sensitive data. Their API provides the ability to securely login using a smart card, token or mobile device
Multilingual
The project supports English and French languages
Custom Revisions System
The portal stores all the user actions as well as revisions of the documents for a specified time period. Any document or entity can be restored from the revision history
Flexible User Role/Permission System
A custom permissions system allows creating multiple user roles and fine tuning permissions even on a per-user level to account for the specifics of processes in different departments
